The Churchill Hotel - York

our decent sized room was equipped with tea as well as smart tv. it was ideally located for seeing a natural science museum.

The room was great value with ironing set, a storage, and coffee.

Very well appointed building and rooms on ground level. Service-minded staff members with excellent service. Central location, nice place for discovering York. Walking distance to the main shopping center and commercial centers across the street.

The staff were excellent and accommodating and provided great service. We loved twin room provided with the kitchen, nice finishing touches and a really good bathroom. The food for brunch was incredible in the outdoor restaurant.

The warm welcome from the staff. My stay exceeded my expectations, especially with a cozy room and good meals nearby.

parking was a bit tight.

Reception was very diligent and very helpful. The restaurant on site is highly recommended.

Breakfast until 9.30. Even after request to get it with payment, it was not possible. The breakfast staff could also be a little nicer. Room very small for twoof us.

The units are well-appointed and beautifully maintained where beautifully clean.

The location was excellent, just a short walk to major attractions. I experienced some noise from neighboring rooms and the parking area, a bit cramped.

Our room (112) was cute;clean,well equiped and everything worked.The bar was cosy and relaxing;didn't eat at hotel so no comment on the nosh.

Great house, great location, very, very friendly staff. Very good service at the bar. Dinner at the hotel was gorgeous.

You`ll have to pay for the parking on the property.

Already at the check-in we were greeted very nicely and even got a free upgrade to a suite. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and gave us numerous tips for exploring the city. We were also delighted with the breakfast and we will be happy to check back in here at the Churchill when our journey takes us to York. Thank you very much for a pleasant stay.

Room was small - especially when billed as part of the luxury collection

We booked on line. I had to call the bookong agent for confirmation of a lift, or first floor room at our selected hotel. As there was neither, they looked for a hotel with our preference, and came up with the Churchill - thankfully. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I were struck with food poisonong on our second day- not from anything at the hotel - and the staff were so considerate and helpful. We were not disturbed, unless we asked for something, and when we were up and about, the room was cleaned and left spotless. I would have no hesitation about a return visit. Nor would I hesitate in recommending it to family or friends.

This is only an observation, and in no way reflects on the hotel staff. When we were ill, and I asked for a doctor, I was told that their doctor would either tell me to call our own doctor, or nhs 24. I suggest that they confirm with their doctor that he/she would come out, as we were temporary residents in their catchment area.
